Muscat Tourism & Travel Guide

As-salām 'alaykum! (Hello in Arabic) Muscat is the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman in southwest Asia. Famously known as the “Jewel of Arabia”, this beautiful city is dotted with pearl-white buildings, beautiful beaches and an extensive desert landscape. In a stark contrast to the soaring skylines of the other Middle East cities, Muscat retains an old world charm with its ancient forts, palaces, mosques and souqs (marketplaces), all against the backdrop of the brown rugged mountains on one side and the blue sea on the other. Home to a huge expat population, Muscat is also a cosmopolitan city and the hub of economic activity in Oman. With its bustling markets and beautiful terrains, Muscat offers something for visitors and travelers of all types. You can find numerous places to visit in Muscat.
