Al Ain – the Garden City of UAE

Located in the foothills of Jebel Hafeet Mountains, and just one-and-half hours away from Dubai, traveling to Al Ain from Dubai is easy, and comprises of a scenic drive along the oasis of Al Ain. Opened in 1969, Al Ain Zoo is one of UAE’s largest animal enclosures, comprising both local as well as other exotic animals. Al Ain Zoo not only provides ample entertainment, but also offers a fun learning experience amidst a natural environment home to over 4,000 different species of animals mainly comprising of endemic animals like the Oryx and the Arabian antelope, as well as Eland antelopes and African gazelles. Al Ain Zoo also features a massive cat house, home to tigers, lions, black and spotted leopards, pumas and jaguars. What’s more, there is also a reptile house, aviary section and monkey compound in the zoo.

Visitors can also savour some memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experiences like riding a pony or camel, giraffe feeding, and popular bird shows and parrot shows amongst others.
