Somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, off the eastern coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, is the tiny island of Cozumel. Also, did you know that this island’s main coastal road leads you to Mayan ruins, dating back to 300 A.D? Great Smoky Mountains, United States
If you’re not into luxury and love the outdoors, Great Smoky Mountains, situated on the Tennessee–North Carolina border, USA should definitely be on your bucket list. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the most visited National Park in the United States – the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is also a great place for hiking and other outdoor sports. What’s more, unlike other National Parks, the Smokies, as it is commonly called, charges no entry fee!

The picturesque Pokhara has all the right offerings for the journey of a lifetime. It has beautiful scenery, plenty of adventure activities, and even more options for accommodation and food. The second largest city of Nepal also boasts of a rich cultural heritage. Visit its famous Gurkha museum, or try your hand at paragliding with possibly the best backdrop to view, you will never regret a moment spent in this charming hill station.

Anaheim, California, United States
What better family holiday than going to a Disney Theme Park? And what better destination than the best rated theme park in the world? Situated in Orange County in California, Anaheim is the place where one of the first Disney Land parks were built by Walt Disney in 1955. Try the park’s exhilarating rides or have a quiet picnic in one of its many landscaped gardens. Spend the rest of your days exploring this ultra-metropolitan city with its world-famous restaurants, cafes and other, less popular but equally exiting adventure parks.

Europa Park, Rust, Germany
The largest theme park in Germany, Europa Park, is filled with so many rides that it would take more than two days to complete them all! Situated 35km north of Freiburg near Rust in Baden-Württemberg, this theme park is heaven for children and adults alike!
Best time to visit: Just make sure you avoid winters, Europa is good to go all year round otherwise!
First things first, Cairo is extremely crowded, sooty and noisy. You’ll find fake guides and intrigued venders trying to talk to you at almost every street corner, and you’ll sometimes feel utterly lost in this enormous mammoth of a city. However, if you are a good planner and street-smart, you’ll grow to love this bustling, chaotic city like no other. Wander around Cairo’s ancient streets and visit the neighbouring splendours of Giza and Dahshur or just watch the sun set over the marvellous Nile – Cairo is an ideal family getaway for history lovers.

The real gem of Jordan, an entire city half-built, half-carved into the rock, is the ancient city of Petra. Established in approximately 6th century BC, Petra was the capital of the Nabateans, an ancient Arab civilization and was relatively lost to the western world till it was discovered in 1812 by a Swiss explorer. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has also been declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Visiting this magical prehistoric city is a must for history as well as adventure fanatics alike! Don’t miss out on floating on the Dead Sea or taking a dip in the Red Sea while in Jordan.
