The narrow by-lanes of Meena Bazaar are sure to make you feel like part of the crowd!

For antique lovers, there are plenty of specialized markets in Dubai, especially the souks in Old Dubai that offer not just items of everyday needs, but also handicrafts and metal items to bring out the beauty of your home. Choose from a plethora of ceramics, textiles, jewelry, footwear, incense, furniture, watches, electronic items, perfumes, carpets, apparels, spices, and much more, to take back home! A simple walk through the intricate streets of the souks will make you fall in love with Dubai, and help you see the heart of this Emirate.

Souk Dubai is also famed for its jovial shopkeepers, with some of them going out of their way to assist tourists. Social media is full of human-interest stories related to the uber-friendly souk shopkeepers and restaurant stall owners, who genuinely help travelers in picking out the right items for them. One word of caution though: the parking here can be terribly difficult to get, so if planning for a self-driving excursion, make sure you look for parking space well before getting inside the market.

There is also a specialized electronic items souk in Dubai, which offers all of the latest gadgets, be it a simple mobile phone or a drone camera. For gadget-freaks, it is an absolutely amazing place to lose themselves and find out the steals of the century.
