For all those who want to experience being in the shoes of, perhaps the world’s most famous spy, your prayers have been answered by the creative director of the Bond films himself! There is a new exhibition opening on 12th July, on top of the Gaislachkogl Mountain in Sölden, Austria. And its sole purpose is to take visitors on an immersive and interactive journey, where they can experience all the places shown in the Bond universe.
Guests will be taken up the mountain summit in a cable car, where they will step into what can only be described as the lair of an evil Bond villain. The entire visitor experience has been so meticulously designed that you would feel like you’re inside an actual movie.
The project, titled 007 ELEMENTS, is a collaboration between Neal Callow, the art director for Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre and Tino Schaedler, head of design for Optimist Inc.
“Our aim with 007 ELEMENTS is to tell the story of the making of 007 films in an ultra-modern, emotive and engaging way. We want to use this incredible location to place our guests into Bond’s environment and bring the stories to life in a unique and unforgettable way,” says Neal Callow.
The building, a feat in itself, has been made within the mountain, and offers striking views of the Oztal Alps, through large window frames. You can purchase the tickets for specific slots only. The first half is programmed, while the second half is open for visitors to explore the galleries on their own.
