Among the people who have special liking for grandeur and opulence (read: the mighty Arabs), ‘Abraj Kudai’, hands down the largest hotel in the world, is making its debut. Come 2017, the holy city of Mecca would be bejeweled by this gem, which in one word can be described as “magnificent”.

With 10,000 rooms, 12 towers, 4 helipads, 70 restaurants and a full-size convention center: Abraj Kudai has already created quite a buzz in the market.

A ring of 12 towers will rise from a podium just over 2 kilometers from the Masjid al-Haram, Mecca’s holy mosque, according to architectural firm, Dar Al-Handasah’s website.
This $3.5 billion site is currently under construction and will stretch across 1.4 million square meters.

It is said that, ten out of twelve towers will provide 4-star accommodation, and the rest two will specifically cater the to the affluent royal clientele providing them 5-star facilities.

If 2017 seems too far and you are looking for a reason to travel with relaxation in your mind, you might want to check-in at any of the grandest hotels around the world. Mind you, 60% of such grand hotels are in Las Vegas!

Have a look!
