The city of Dubai; famed for its glitz, glamour and high luxury, has set yet another record, and, in the process, has further cemented itself as the world’s one-stop destinations for feats of architectural brilliance and aesthetic ingenuity!
Sunday marked the grand unveiling of the 75-story Gevora Hotel, which at 356 meters and nearly quarter of a mile tall, is now officially the tallest hotel in the world! It has just about pipped the nearby JW Marriot Marquis which stands only a meter shorter.
The gargantuan hotel was officially opened to the public on Monday evening and guests can expect to be treated to the sublime luxury that we’ve come to expect of any hotel in the UAE, albeit with the added novelty of witnessing the spectacular views that some of its higher floors will provide.
The Gevora aims to combine European practical knowledge and know-how with the true essence of Middle Eastern hospitality. Through doing this, it aims to create an experience that is unlike any other! Indeed, with 528 rooms – including 232 deluxe rooms, 265 one-bedroom and 31 two bedroom apartments, you certainly can’t say that there is dearth of space. It also houses a main pool, a baby pool, a jacuzzi, a health club, a fully equipped spa, and five restaurants; one of which is located on the top floor of the hotel. In a show of added panache, guests will enter the hotel through revolving doors coated in solid gold!
If all this wasn’t enough, the hotel’s proximity to Dubai’s primary commercial hubs make it the ideal place for business and trade to take place. The World Trade Center, Financial Center and Business Bay are but a few important locations for industry in Dubai and all of these are located relatively close to the Gevora! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this phenomenal looking hotel!
If there’s one thing that we know for certain in this case, it’s that the sky is definitely the limit!
