Kiev, the capital of the country, is probably the most happening place to enjoy the Ukrainian nightlife. It is often perceived as the winter capital of parties – and rightly so! Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine, is an essential centre for education and art enthusiasts. It has seven theatres presenting opera, ballet and drama for all. Since the city is home to educational institutes, the student population is high here. This is one of the reasons why the Ukrainian nightlife is quite vibrant in Kharkiv. There are some unique nightclubs here like the Art Area DK, a multi-functional platform for artists of all sorts. Odessa, also termed as the ‘Pearl of the Black Sea’, is a major tourism hub due to its historical treasure trove, spectacular beaches and lively Ukrainian nightlife. Frequently observed as the summer party capital of Ukraine, countless people belonging to different strata of society flock to this beach destination. The nightlife here is divided into two sectors: the summer clubs and the year-round clubs. In summers, most of the best parties take place in the Southern Palmyra beach area.
