Shop, eat, participate in fun games and attend parades at the Barcelona Christmas markets. The biggest (and the oldest) market is “Fira de Santa Llucia” and hosts 300+ stalls of decorations, gifts, and Christmas trees, and is usually held in mid-December around the historic Gothic Cathedral in the Old Town. You will also find handicraft items including the famous “Caganer” or the “pooping man”, an essential figurine of the Catalan nativity scene.
