1. New Year’s Day in UAE – 01 January 2019 (Tuesday)
The first public holiday of 2019 –New Year’s Day falls on Tuesday. While the New Year’s Eve is on Monday, allowing you two days, plus the previous weekend to plan your holidays. In case, you don’t have leaves, you can still plan for a staycation within the Emirates. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have several events during New Year’s Eve, including buffet lunch and dinners, parties, firework displays, international DJs, kid’s friendly activities, cultural shows, etc. If you are looking for a small weekend gateway during this period, we recommend a trip to Tbilisi, Yerevan, or Baku. These three destinations are trending, located within 5-6 hours of flight duration and boast incredible natural beauty, rich cultural heritages, delicious food, shopping, and plenty of sightseeing.
2. Eid Al Fitr 2019 – 06 June 2019 (Thursday)
Eid Al Fitr marks the official end of the holy month of Ramadan. The most celebrated national holiday in UAE is also among the most favoured time-of-the-year among the Emiratis to take a vacation. This year, Eid Al Fitr is falling on Thursday, depends on the sighting of the moon. Two days of vacations for Eid Al Fitr 2019 include Wednesday, Thursday and if you add the weekends, one will have 5 days to spend a memorable holiday. 3. Eid Al Adha 2019 – 12 August 2019 (Monday)
Eid Al Adha holidays last for three days and includes the Arafat Day on 11th August 2019. This year, Eid Al Adha 2019 holidays start from Monday 12th August and holidays continue till Wednesday 14th August. This means you can add the previous weekend and the Eid Al Adha holidays to get a long holiday period in August. 4. Al Hijri – Islamic New Year 2019 – 01 September 2019 (Sunday)
