Royal Jordanian Airlines
Royal Jordanian Airlines is the official flag carrier airline of Jordan and is based at the Queen Alia International Airport at Amman, Jordan, with King Hussein Airport being its primary hub. Royal Jordanian Airlines is also a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and the Oneworld global airline alliance. The airline was established on 9th December 1963 and started operation on 15 December 1963 after a royal decree by the late King Hussein. Royal Jordanian Airline started operations with two Handley Page Dart Heralds and a Douglas DC-7 aircraft, serving Kuwait City, Beirut and Cairo from Amman.
Royal Jordanian Airlines has been active in media campaigning and promotion, and has several official mottos and slogans. The present slogan, "A World of Stories" was coined in 2014 replacing the "The Art of Flying" tagline. Royal Jordanian has codeshare agreements with airlines like Air Berlin, Middle East Airlines, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Gulf Air, British Airways, American Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, and U.S Airways. The current fleet size of Royal Jordanian Airlines comprises of 36 aircraft, including aircraft like Boeing 787-8, Airbus 320, Airbus 330 and Embraer jets. Royal Jordanian Airlines currently serves 60 destinations and is under the process of opening new routes and flights.
