Fujairah International Airport, is located nearly 2 kilometers from the city of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. It is a civilian airport that is operated by the Department of Civil Aviation. Fujairah International Airport is located at an elevation of 153 feet above mean sea level. The airport started operations in the year 1987, and is able to handle more than 2 million passengers on a yearly basis. It is home to a single Asphalt based runway that measures 12,00 feet in length. The airport has separate passenger terminals for domestic and international passengers. The airlines servicing the airport include Rotana Jet that offers regular flights to Abu Dhabi. Regular flights to Fujairah International Airport are also available by the same Airlines. Cargo and charter flights to Fujairah International Airport are offered by TransGlobal Airways to destinations such as Dhaka and Clark. In addition, the airport is also home to an aircraft recycling facility.
