BEST TIME TO VISIT Georgia

Owing to its favourable geographical location, Georgia is blessed with a varied climate, which is sub-tropic for most part of the year. While the summers are hot and humid, the winters in Georgia are pleasant and mildly cold. The northern mountain peaks are snow-clad throughout the year, while the areas towards the west coast by the Black Sea, have a balmy weather all year-round.

One of the best things about Georgia is its favourable climate, which makes it ideal to be visited any time of year! Be it the spring months between March and May, the summer months between June and August, the autumn months of September to November, or the winter months of December to February, Georgia can be visited at any time of the year!


There are four main seasons that one can experience in Georgia – Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. 

The spring season takes place between the months of March and May, and are one of the best times to travel to Georgia. During this time, the weather is not too cold and neither too hot. However, be aware that there might be frequent rainfall during the latter months of spring, so you might want to carry some rain gear along. 

The summer season is between June and August, blessing the country with pleasant, warm weather. This is the time when most of the resorts in Georgia are packed with tourists. 

If you love rains, the autumn months of September and November are the best time to visit Georgia, when the entire country experiences rainfall, and the multi-coloured trees come to life.

The winter season in Georgia, which lasts from December to February, are very cold, with temperatures dipping as low as 2 to 6 degrees Celsius. Snowfall is very common during the winter months, making Georgia an ideal destination for winter sports lovers, especially ski enthusiasts.
