Had a great trip in Irealand thanks to HolidayMe. The best I think was Dublin since it was a lovely city. We also had the best hotel there, so it was a great time for us. We enjoyed so much.
Good trip for Dublin from HolidayMe for us and family very nice trip after long flight and good hotel in Dublin today is first day and we are also look forward to enjoyeng a good trip across this country. Our package was really good and not very pricey but it was still very good and equals to a expensive package.
Ireland is lovely, so much calmer and more peaceful that Scotland and even England I suppose,. People are much more welcoming here, smiling and ready to help out. Although I find their accent very very difficult to understand but their hand gestures clear up a lot of things. HolidayMe arranged this package for us. It was an expensive package but we got a lot of great hotels on the trip, coupled with fabulous service so we didn’t mind or even want to complain. It was amazing to be in such a beautiful country. I would love to return again some time.
First time in Dublin, lovely city, the people are really nice, Irish sense of humour… m glad we took this package from HolidayMe, since it was very cheap and covered many attractions and things to do. Thanks a lot guys.
It is a good thing to travel to Ireland, it is a really great palce for a family vacation. Something for everybody to do and see. M glad HolidayMe asked us to visit this place when we wernt so sure.
This was a good trip with the family after a long time, enjoyed a lot with everybody and made loads of new friends in Dublin. This was a beautiful city, full of history and culture, lovely weather too, not too sunny just a hint of rain in the air. Our package was form HolidayMe, and it was quite well organized.
This trip to Ireland was organized by HolidayMe and we ended up paying a lot of money for this one, and did not get the services expected. We wernt picked up from the airport, did not get the sort of room we wanted, the check in took nearly 2 hours, the taxis that took us for sightseeing were ramshackle at best.
What a great trip designed by HolidayMe, I really think they outdid themselves this time. this is actually my 4th trip with them, and I have been using their services because they always offer consistent stand up services throughout the trip and even later on they call and get your feedback. Loved how they threw in the small extras at the hotel in Dublin because I told them that this was a pre anniversary gift for my husband. Where can you expect to get such good service at all? Enjoyable trip for sure. Ensured a lot of precious memories for us.
An island country oozing with raw beauty and extraordinary landscapes, Ireland is a stunning European destination located in the Atlantic Ocean. Also referred to as the Republic of Ireland, the country occupies most of the island, apart from six counties located on the northern section that make up Northern Ireland, a part of United Kingdom. Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland.
Before the English set foot on Irish territory, Ireland was inhabited by the Celts around 600-150 BC, who were later invaded by the Vikings during the 8th century. Disputes between the Celtic tribes and Vikings continued for decades until an Act of Union in 1801 that made Great Britain and Ireland the “United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland”. However, discord between the Irish and English continued and led to the Irish War of Independence (1919-1921), with ultimately the Irish Free State being established in 1922. The Irish Free State was given full sovereignty within the commonwealth in 1937. However, in 1949, it dissolved from the commonwealth and became an independent republic. Today, Ireland is a constitutional republic. It has a parliament whereby the head of state is the President.
Though Irish is the official language of the country, English remains the language spoken by the majority. The major religion in Ireland is Roman Catholic (84%), while the remainder is a mix of Jewish, Islamic and Protestant minorities. The climate in Ireland is relatively temperate with warm summers and cool winters.
Ireland has contributed a lot to the rest of the world, in terms of Irish Literature, theatre, Irish music, medieval architecture, the tasty Irish cuisine and of course, the popular beverages and alcoholic drinks.
