Vietnam is more beautiful than how it looks in pictures and we realized it when we reached here. We traveled through three cities in Vietnam called Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Halong. All three were mind-blowing. Our travel planner was also very responsible and answered to all our questions.
I had never been to Vietnam before. Coming here was a different experience all over. The bay and the cliffs just blew my mind. I like to click photographs and Halong is the place where I could click some really nice pictures. Planning to visit again!
Holidayme made our Vietnam trip very easy and enjoyable. During the planning process, they replied to all our query and solved all our worries. The itinerary was also perfect for my family. I’m a big foodie and Vietnam was a great treat for me.
I have traveled a lot especially in south-east Asia, but Vietnam is the most memorable trip of my lifetime. In addition to natural beauty, Vietnam has so much to offer from food to culture. I enjoyed every single say of my trip. Hanoi and Halong have become my favorite cities and I would like to visit again.
There is a continuous infectious vibe in Vietnam that will leave you asking for more. You will have a lot of fun here, even as the country presents you with a scintillating experience to all things that make up the country - from beaches, mountains, cities, national parks and some of the most delicious food you will ever taste. This is also a great place to have conversation with the friendly local people, ice-breaking is never the issue here.
At the height of its imperialism, China ruled over Vietnam for over thousand years, a reign that ended in the year 938. Vietnam won independence post a war and a procession of royal dynasties followed who ruled and expanded territory. A certain peninsular area was colonized by the French in the middle of the 19th century. The French were finally routed by the Vietnamese in 1954. The North and South Vietnam rivalry then began, causing much destruction and death until the war’s culmination in 1975 with a North Vietnam victory. After remaining isolated, a 1986 change in economic and political reforms led to Vietnam’s present accessibility and popularity.
Vietnamese is the most spoken and official language of the country. More than 85% of the population are followers of Buddhism. About 7% of the people are Catholics. Other local religions make up the remaining 8%. Fish, rice, fruits, shrimp, vegetables and herbs are some of the common ingredients in most dishes.
Mostly covered with forests and hills (over 80%), barely 20% of the land is levelled. Due to latitudinal and topography changes, the climate differs from region to region. Seasonal variations include heavy rainfall and a dry winter.
