Termed as the best beach and central in Patong but slowly getting wasted by the increasing number of tourists and trash everywhere even in the water which is not good. Lots of water sports available , we opted for water skiing and it was fun. Did not try for swimming after seeing rubbish floating in the water. Food is good.Reviewed On : 22 Jun`17
The beach is the best in Paton gut evenings and late afternoons it gets too crowded and getting a good place to park becomes very difficult. Food is excellent at the beach try the sea food especially, all prepared in Thai style. All services from clothes, spas, hospitals and even dentists available and very cheap. Evening it becomes a party place.Reviewed On : 28 May`17
Patong beach is very good in whole of Patong although there are better places in Thailand which are much less crowded. The beach is huge and lots of tourists come here. There are many services offered on the beach which are good but you will have to bargain, like massage and excellent coconut water and drinks.Reviewed On : 24 May`17
The best beach in whole of Thailand. Boat tours from here to Freedom beach are plenty for people looking for less crowded places. Afternoons it gets too crowded so start early in the morning to get the best places. Lots of cheap shopping but beware its just use and throw. Lots of restaurants offering excellent drinks and sea food.Reviewed On : 24 May`17
Patong beach is the ideal place for just relaxing in the sun. Lots of restaurants offer beach chairs and great food and drinks on the beach. Massage services for foot and hand are relaxing and so good. Even if it rains it is fun to be on the beach. Water is ideal for swimming and warm. If it is a little cleaner it would be much more better at places.Reviewed On : 15 Jun`17
Patong beach is actually the party place of Thailand. Morning or evening lots of activities and options. Sea has warm water and is ideal for swimming and diving. Lots of water sports available but bargain as prices seem quite high. Lot of places offering good drinks and evening becomes a party place here. Shopping is cheap but quality is not good.Reviewed On : 19 May`17
The centre of activity with lots of things happening. Much louder and noisier than Freedom Beach or Tri Tang beach. We took a boat ride from here till Freedom Beach and back. The boat ride was excellent. We did diving also and the water is so good and warm. Good instructor who was very patient. Patong beach has lots of beach chairs and services offered like drinks, massages, spas and water activities on the beach. Parasailing was fun but charges were quite high. Options of water skiing was also there. Food is really good and cheap at the restaurants.Reviewed On : 24 May`17
I love going to Thailand, it is amazingly pretty and full of life. I love the food there, and the pubs and the nightlife. So much shopping to do in Thailand. I wish I could have spent more time there. Never mind, I hope to go back next year. Hope HolidayMe will be making similarly great discounts then too.Reviewed On : 14 Jun`16
Thailand gives the impression of eternal greenery and sunshine. The temples bask in the incense of spirituality; while the beaches relish the golden sweet spread of sunshine. There are also lovely streets to walk on and markets to explore in the cities across Thailand. If you a water baby, and love swimming, scuba diving or any other adrenaline water based activity, you are in the right country. You will also find slices of history scattered around, too. If planned carefully, you could be in for a satisfying budget trip.
There is enough evidence to suggest that the first human settlements in Thailand were set up at least 40,000 years ago. As a consequence of several Indian settlers choosing Thailand as home, the influence of Indian culture was inevitable. The Khmer Empire was among the many rulers who reigned over the region. The empire’s fall saw many other kingdoms rise and fall in the 13th century. Thailand is also the only Southeast Asian nation never to be colonised, despite attempts by European powers. Presently, Thailand is a peaceful monarchy.
Thai is the official language of the country, while many other languages are also spoken along the border regions. More than 90% of the localsfollow Buddhism while about5% are followers ofIslam. The rest include Jews, Hindus and Sikhs.
You will find a variety of sensations and flavours in the Thai cuisine. Rice is part of almost any meal, lime juice, garlic and chillies are regularly used ingredients. Monsoon season is a prominent one in Thailand; and you will see a lot of rainfall here. From highlands, river valleys and plateaus, this is a country with distinct geography.
