New York City Visa and Passport Requirements

US Visa policy allows visa exemption for the citizens of Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, and Palau, which are part of Compact of Free Association. Citizens of Canada with TN status (Treaty NAFTA) are allowed to enter the country without any visa. Citizens of the 38 countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program,are not required to furnish US Visa but must get an electronic authorization if arriving by air or cruise ship. The United States provide visitor visa exemption to the Citizens of the Compact of Free Association states of Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau. Citizens of Canada who are applying from TN (Treaty NAFTA) status at the US – Canada border. Citizens of 38 countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program and citizens of The Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Turks and Caicos Islands, are not required to furnish US Visa. The list of Visa Waiver Program countries includes the likes of Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Singapore, Netherlands, and Republic of Korea, among others. 

USA B-1 and B-2 visas are required to facilitate travel to USA for tourism, leisure, and business purposes. A visa is required for a representatives of a foreign government, diplomatic staff, ministers, ambassadors, and so on. C Visa is issued for transit purposes while travelling to some other country. D Visa is issued to the crew members of sea-vessels and international airlines. E Visa is issued to the citizens of the countries that have significant trade and commerce and navigational treaties with the USA. They are issued to individuals engaged in key trade activities in international banking, insurance, transportation, tourism or communications. F Visa are issued to foreign students enrolled at US institutions and universities while G Visa are issued to diplomats, government officials, and employees who work for international organizations in the USA. H Visa are issued to citizens with speciality occupations involved in research and development projects. I Visa are issued to representatives of foreign media professionals, while J visas are issued to participants of work and study exchange programs.
