Hallo! (Hello in German)

Popularly known as the Austria’s most beautiful village’, Alpbach is a town in the Tyrol state of Austria. A perfect destination for tourists to relax in lush green meadows, scenic beauty and fresh air. The historical significance of the city goes back to the year 1150. A popular tourist destination, the isolated village is known for its unique style of furnishings and architecture.  An annual conference of Alpbach European Forum is conducted in the village since 1945. The forum and leading figures participating in the conference has given the nickname to the village ‘the Village of Thinkers’. The planning council issued a law in 1953, that every new building should be built in old architectural style only to preserve the traditional style of the village. The Austrian Public health Institute has recognized and awarded the village for having cleanest and purest air in Austria. Alpbach was honored in 1993 with the award of ‘The Most Beautiful Floral Village of Europe’.
