The easiest and most convenient way, and ofcourse, a practical means to reach Australia is via flight. You will find direct or indirect flights from the major cities around the world reaching various cities of Australia. 

Melbourne and Sydney serve as major terminals for international and domestic flights alike. Sydney Airport, also known as Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport or just‘Kingsford-Smith Airport’ is one of the largest and busiest airports of Australia, followed by Melbourne Airport. Together these airports ferry millions of passengers via numerous airlines serving these two airports. 

The official carrier of Australia is Qantas Airways, which operates flights to these airports from nearlyall major countries of the world. Other airlines flying to Australia are Emirates, Thai Airways, Delta, and Cathay Pacific, among others. Also, there are a few routes in Australia which are operated by ‘discount airlines’. Combine them with other fares to make reaching Australia cost effective. All you have to do is, choose your point of entry and exit which gives you a cheaper round-trip, and possibly a fewexciting stopover opportunities on the way.

Slow but exciting none the less, you may choose reaching Australia via boat. Various cruise companies can ferry you to Australia from other countries across the Pacific. The months of November to February are the cruise season, when you can cruise to Australia, and then fly back home during the return journey. There is also an option of sailing to Australia in your own yacht, but you will have to refer to the Australian customs for rules and regulations.
