Getting Around in BAKU

By car: If you are confident of your own driving skills and can dodge the errant drivers, you may hire a car to explore the beauty of Baku city. 
By Taxi: Number of private and public taxis ply to and fro, making commuting in Baku city easy. Look out for London taxi cabs, the new entrants in Taxi services that are reliable and cost-effective. It is advised that you confirm the fares before you get into the car. 
By Bus/ MiniBus: Public transport of Baku is robust and dependable. The buses will take you to every nook and corner of the city. They also have a website that keeps you informed about the bus route. 
By Metro: Another pocket-friendly option to move around in Baku city is by hopping into a Metro that connects its very top areas. Avoid the peak hours to save yourself from being pushed and bumped. 
On Foot: To savour the beauty of places like Baku Boulevard, old Baku city and the Fountain Square, the best of exploring them is by foot. Owing to its increasing traffic problems, Govt. of Baku has built an extensive network of underground pedestrian walkways that ensure safety of pedestrians.

By Air

Heydar Aliyev International Airport is served by many international airlines like British Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways.

By Road

Minibuses runs between Baku, Sheki and Lankaran. International buses runs from Turkey and Iran to Baku.

By Rail

Overnight trains are available from Russia and Ukraine on daily basis to Baku.
