A picture-perfect city in Gangxi, China, Guilin is one of the well thought of tourist places in this country. If you’ve already prejudiced it as a small and serene countryside, trickling rivers, rolling greens rhapsodic mountains, the place aptly replicates your imagination. There are many such wonders of nature located in and around Guilin. To name a few, Longsheng with its famous Longji rice terraces; the Lijiang River, Yangshuo country downstream and many other. The Northern end of Gangxi province, thus gives way to more exploration. There are innumerable tourist attractions in Guilin. As for the city, Guilin is one of the most beautiful places in China, whirled across by two rivers and four lakes and guarded by Karst Mountains. The buildings are a little shabby outside the City Centre which gives the countryside a pastoral feel. Nevertheless, Guilin is a much cleaner city as compared to other cities in China. This medium sized Chinese city makes a living from tourism itself. There are an array of western-styled hotels and nightclubs. The place boasts of lesser pollution and is visited by expats and locals alike. Cherry on the cake is the Limestone Mountains.
