How to Reach INDIA

By Air

The easiest way to reach India is to take a flight to any of the international airports in India. India has 30 international airports, out of which, the major international gateways are Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport, Chennai’s Chennai International Airport, Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
Delhi and Mumbai receive maximum number of international flights from all over the world. Kolkata and Chennai get plenty of flights from East and South East Asia. Hyderabad and Bangalore being the IT hubs, receive plenty of international flights from USA, Western Europe and the Middle East. Cochin International Airport in Kerala also receives plenty of flights from the Middle East and West Asia. The other international airports also receive flights but the connections are very limited.
Air India and Air India Express are the official flag airlines of India and offer connections to all the major destinations around the world. Apart from Air India, international airlines like Finn Air, Lufthansa, Air France, British Airways, American Airlines, Swiss Air, Turkish Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Etihad Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airways, Thai Airways, etc. offer regular scheduled flights to and from several Indian airports.
India also has a strong network of domestic airlines with many low-cost, no-frill airlines plying on the most competitive routes. The airlines often offer amazing deals including lowest airfares due to the competition amongst domestic air carriers. The primary domestic airlines in India are SpiceJet, Indigo Airlines, Go Air, Jet Airways, Jetlite, Air Asia India and Vistara. Apart from domestic airlines, India also has a vast network of railways that cover the length and breadth of the country. Inter-state buses between cities and towns are also available. The best way to travel within India is by flights as it is much more convenient, hassle-free and less time-consuming.
