Shopping In Istanbul

Grand Bazaar: From carpets to fabrics, jewelry to antiques, souvenirs to clothes, you will find everything in the vibrant and colorful Grand Bazaar, which is also one of the largest and oldest markets of the world. Located inside the walled city of Istanbul and between mosques of Beyazit and Nuruosmaniye, this bazaar is spread over 60 streets and accommodates upto 3,000 shops. Visit this bazaar to walk away with something special. 

Spice Bazaar: For some spice shopping, head to Egyptian Bazaar or Spice Bazaar.  This bazaar is located in the Eminonu area of the Faith district of Istanbul and is one of the biggest bazaars in Istanbul. It was designed by Koca Kasim Aga, a master of Ottoman classical architecture. Its 85 shops sell spices, nuts, sweets, souvenirs and even jewelry. Be careful while buying jewelry. Istanbul’s Spice Bazaar was formerly named New Bazaar.  

Akmerkez Shopping Center: Visit the famous Akmerkez Shopping Center located in the Besiktas district. It consists of around 250 stores and houses some of the big names like Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, Zara, Mango, Mont Blanc etc. It has been constantly recognized by International Design committees and was christened the Best Shopping Centre in the World in 1996. The mall is easily accessible and tourists can reach it very easily. 

City’s: For more stylish shopping, visit the City’s shopping center in Nisantasi neighborhood close to Taksim Square. City’s has been crowned as a “Life style Center” as it does not only accommodate fashion stores but also restaurants, cafes and entertainment options. It has a six-storey parking to ensure that your car gets a safe place when you are here. 

Nisantasi: Nisantasi is home to luxury stores like Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and many more. It isn't a shopping mall but a shopping district located close to the Taksim. Nisantasi is actually also a residential area with a very high population of foreigners. It is a hub of culture and arts which can be best witnessed in its art galleries, cafes and restaurants.
