Istanbul Visa and Passport Requirements

All visitors to Turkey must obtain a visa from one of the diplomatic missions of Turkey in their respective countries. Citizens of 80 countries are exempted from visa free travel for a period of 90 days while the citizens of 43 countries have the option to avail e-Visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 90 days in the country. All visitors must hold a valid passport with at least two blank pages and proper identity documents. 

E-visa can be applied for online at the Turkish diplomatic missions or can be obtained by interactive kiosks available in Turkish airports. Conditional E-visas are available for citizens of 56 countries while citizens of 21 countries need to procure an advance visa from their respective country’s Turkish consulate.
