Shopping In Jaipur

Jaipur is synonymous with a colorful shopping experience. In fact, tourists visiting Jaipur arrive with visuals of colorful Rajasthani bazaars in their head. Jaipur doesn’t disappoint anyone of them.

Bapu bazaar, MI (Mirza Ismail) Road and Johari are the best places to shop for traditional goods and souvenirs.

The Pink City is famous for its gems, jewellery, handicrafts, colorful dresses with mirror work on them, rajais (cotton quilt with Rajasthani traditional hand block designs) and much more.

Do remember to bargain at all shops, especially the smaller ones as in all probability, prices are usually inflated by at least 50%.

You can also pick up a pair of mojari (well decorated traditional Rajasthani footwear) from any of the footwear shops.

If you are interested in colored lac bangles, antiques, handicrafts, traditional block print clothing, head to Badi Chauper, located near Hawa Mahal.
