Getting Around in LOS ANGELES

Cars - It is advised to rent a car to move around the city with ease. Traffic will be high at peak hours but the freeways are very well-maintained and connected. You can use your smartphone for directions or purchasing a GPS navigation system would be even better. LA is one of the cheapest places in America to rent a car.

Public transportation: Some places of LA like the Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd and the Beverly Blvd are very well connected by public transport. However public transport is not viable if you want to cover other attractions in LA. 

How to Reach LOS ANGELES

By Air

Los Angeles International Airport is a major international airport and has excellent connectivity to other domestic and international cities. People fly into LAX from all over the world. Other airports in Los Angeles area are Long Beach Airport, Burbank Airport, Orange County Airport and Ontario Airport.

By Road

The Greyhound buses also provide connectivity to Los Angeles from other US cities.

By Rail

The main Amtrak (train) station is at Union station in Downtown LA. Amtrak offers connectivity to places like Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Chicago, Kansas, New Orleans and Sacramento. The Union Station also has a Metro Red Line subway station and Metro Gold Line light rail station.
