The traditional Maldivian cuisine is influenced by other international cuisine like European, Malaysian and India, although it makes good use of native fish species. Once in Maldives you should definitely try: seafood such as tuna, grouper, octopus, jobfish etc, Kavaabu (deep-fried snacks made from coconut, rice, tuna, lentils and spices) and delicious curries made out of chicken or beef. Also, you will find a good variety of eating-out options to choose from, be it luxury resorts, to small eateries to cafes, etc.
