Free Things to Do In Mumbai

Mumbai has a number of beaches and seaside promenades where one can relax or jog. Beaches like Juhu Beach, Versova Beach, Aksa Beach,                   Girgaum, Dadar and MahimChowpatty are the most popular hangouts for local residents and tourists as well. Other sea facing places and                           promenades like Carter Road, Bandstand, Worli and Bandra Reclamation also attract revellers, who want to enjoy the Arabian Sea and its waves.
Spend some time at the Gateway of India and walk around the Apollo Bunder Area to witness a vibrant city life.   
If you are religious or even just want to see the popular religious sites then you can visit the Siddhivinayak Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Babulnath         Temple, Haji Ali Dargah, MahimDargha, Afghan Church among others. Global Pagoda in Gorai is also a majestic religious and meditational site.
Also walk up to the famous Mount Mary Church in Bandra. This old church on top of a hill overlooking the sea is a good place to visit.
Roam around in Fort and Kala Ghoda area of the town where you can enjoy the grand heritage of Mumbai. A number of iconic old buildings and                 historic structures, including historic the Asiatic Library, Jehangir Art Gallery, Flora Fountain are there to mesmerize you. 
Go to nearby ChhatrapatiShivaji Terminus, earlier known as Victoria Terminus. This hundred-year-old building is an architectural marvel and is an             UNESCO heritage sight. You can also see how thousands and thousands of people commute daily and get down at this station—one of the busiest             railway stations the world.   
You can go to the Dhobi Talao and capture those magical moments of how hundreds of laundrymen wash, hand and dry cloths of thousands of                 Mumbai residents.
Powai Lake is also a beautiful lake inside the city with a hilly backdrop. It’s a good place to sit and watch the natural beauty in a city full of hustle               and bustle.
Mumbai also has a number of parks and grounds which are full of activities. Places like Shivaji Park, Azad Maidan, OvalMaidan have been the                     breeding ground of a number of Indian cricketers over the last few decades and the tradition is still continuing. Apart from scores of budding                     cricketers, a number of footballers, joggers, walkers and lovebirds are to be found in these open spaces in the heart of the city.
