Nizwa Tourism

Nizwa is an ancient city - one of the oldest cities of Oman. Culturally rich, this town is traditional in many ways more than one. Surrounded by high mountains and palm oasis, the landscape is stunning and unique. With historical sites of Jabrin and Bahla, and roads leading to Jebel Shams and Jebel Akhdar, Nizwa is tourists’ favourite. Visit between December and March, when the weather is perfect to explore.

In the year 2013, Nizwa was named the ‘Capital of Islamic Culture’. Being a conservative town, it is expected of tourists to maintain some decorum. Located in the centre of Oman, it is 165 km away from Muscat city. The roads are well-paved and can take you to any village of Nizwa. Take a tour package of Nizwa that will showcase the city’s beauty and glory. Just like the Omani people, the locals of Nizwa are friendly and the city is very safe to travel. Visit Nizwa, it will be an enriching experience!
