How to Reach SANTORINI

By Air

Santorini (Thira) National Airport is the main airport on the island and is located near the Kamari village. Numerous airlines have direct flights from Athens and other major cities within Greece. A lot of tourists come via charter flights from major European airports. Taxis are easily available outside the airport. There are buses from the airport to Fira and then you can take different buses depending on the town you want to visit. Be sure to book tickets well in advance due to the high demand during peak seasons.

Cruise ships and ferries connect different Greek cities to Santorini. The ferries dock at the new port of Athinios and then you can take a bus or taxi to any of the towns. The ride is a windy, steep one from Athinois. There are speed boats to Oia from the old port pier (Skala).
