Varna Tourism

Originating in 500 BC, Varna is Bulgaria’s marine capital and third city. It is the fourth-largest port on the Black Sea and has developed as a commercial dock, naval base as well as a seaside resort of Bulgaria. An interesting fact about this coastal city is the the oldest gold treasure in the world and was discovered in Varna Necropolis with the artefacts dating back to 4750 BC. A cosmopolitan town, the streets of Varna are oozing with history. However, there is a great blend of baroque and contemporary architecture as Varna invites its visitors to stretch on its lengthy beaches and stroll in the shady promenades and seaside gardens. The largest Roman baths on Bulgaria and a fine archaeological museum are two noted tourist places of Varna.
