How to Reach ZERMATT

By Air

There are numerous international flights that fly into Switzerland, arriving either at Zurich or Geneva airport. Both airports are well-organized and integrated with the Swiss rail network, and have convenient train stations at the airport, from where you can get direct trains to Zermatt.

By Road

It is easy to reach Zermatt by road  from other European cities. Well-paved, broad highways connect the Swiss city to other major cities of the European Union.

By Rail

The Swiss Rail Network is famous for its efficiency. There are hourly trains that ply into Zermatt from all major hubs, including Zurich and Geneva. 

Getting Around in ZERMATT

Walk - Cars won’t be any handy in Zermatt since the entire village is car-free. Since Zermatt is small town, almost every place is accessible by foot or by bicycle.

Bus -  If you don’t wish to walk, the town has a specialized bus service that runs on electricity. These buses run throughout the town and stop at designated locations.
